Bunni
was born in July of 1978 in Shelton WA. Her cultural heritage is in
the Skokomish and Squaxin Tribes. She is the youngest daughter of Andy
and Ruth Wilbur-Peterson. Bunni has been artistically inclined and has
been involved with art and culture her entire life. Bunni's parents
raised her with strong cultural views and ties to her rich heritage.
Growing up with art surrounding her, she had all the foundation to her
art career. As a young adult, she decided to further her education and
enrolled in college. Soon after becoming a certified Dental Assistance
she gave birth to her first child (Thomas Andrew Peterson-BlueBird)
and decided to dedicate herself to raising her son. It was then, that
she looked at her culture through different eyes, it was now her responsibility
to hand down her culture and history to her child. She than chose to
return to her art career, so that she could stayed at home to raise
her son. Three years later, she gave birth to her daughter (Ruth Lacey-Ann
Peterson-BlueBird). She has worked hard on her art career, and has done
shows in numerous galleries, both in and out of the state of WA., but,
has found that she has limited time to devote to her art career due
to her babies. The Peterson Gallery is proud to represent this very
talented artist.
